Villa Trullo dei Mori is located less than two km from the historic center of Ostuni, also known as the "White City", which in turn is positioned in the geographical area of the Valle Itria which, together with the Salento aera, constitute the two main geographical areas of southern Puglia. Salento is divided into Alto Salento and, further south, Lower Salento.
Villa Trullo dei Mori is geographically strategic to reach both the beauties of the Itria Valley and the whole Salento.
Valle d'Itria, also known as Valle dei Trulli, located in the heart of Puglia and lies between the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto, is a unique, almost fairytale-like landscape in which the white fortified villages are treasures of history, of art and culture, located among dry stone walls, the green of the olive trees, the red of the earth and the blue of the sea on the horizon.
The Upper or Alto Salento extends from the extreme of the Murge to the Salento plain and there are several inland towns to visit, but the Adriatic coast is the real protagonist, consisting of long white sandy beaches, dunes covered with Mediterranean scrub alternating with sandy coves and stretches of cliffs that are reflected in a crystalline sea. The small villages overlooking the sea are fishing villages defended by high walls that enchant with their Romanesque and Baroque squares and cathedrals.
The Lower Salento, which starts from Otranto and includes the last stretch south of the Adriatic coast, meets the Ionian coast in Santa Maria di Leuca and then continues northwards to Porto Cesareo, while the hinterland corresponds to the entire province of Lecce. The Ionian coast is made up of white beaches and crystalline waters, while the east side is a panoramic setting of rocks and Mediterranean scrub overlooking the sea that only the coastal routes allow you to admire in all its beauty.
In an area so rich in history and culture, where there have been alternated dominations and different influences, an extremely varied food and wine offer could not be missing, with star rated restaurants. Apulian cuisine thrives on produce excellence and simple dishes, through the fruit and vegetable variety, the abundance of fish on the coasts and the delicacy of meat in the hinterland.
The activities that this land offers are many, in addition to the simple visit of the most famous ancient white villages, bathing in beaches with crystal clear waters and white sand, hiking or biking. It is also possible to go diving or boat trips, spending a day playing golf or bird watching.
Finally, even those who want a holiday with the sole sign of rest and absolute relaxation, can find all this simply by staying in the "Villa Trullo dei Mori", thanks to the many comforts it offers, its swimming pool and its terraced park, with a wonderful sea view!
